Summer is here and for the short time that it lasts, you should make the most of the sunny days and the cool afternoons. My favourite way to get outside is to take a picnic to one of the London parks, lay down a blanket and people-watch for the afternoon.
For the best people watching, head over to the Kenwood House area in Hampstead Heath. People from different walks of life congregate there to walk dogs, push strollers, and canoodle near the lake. There’s also a really great café where you can stock up on picnic items if you run out.
The park where I always tend to strike up a conversation with someone new is the Clapham Common. There are often little events going on and people lined across the fields taking in the sun.
What should you buy for a picnic in the park? Here are five must-haves for any weekend picnic:
Linea Urban Explorer 2 person hamper – House of Fraser, £35
Stripe Picnic Blanket – Not On the High Street, £69.95
M de Minuty Rosé 2013 – Roberson Wine, £8.95
Paper Braid Fedora – River Island, £18
Black Colour Block Maxi Dress – New Look, £32.99
