YVES SAINT LAURENT LE TEINT TOUCHE ÉCLAT Illuminating Foundation SPF 19

I’ve been experimenting with different foundations after wearing Laura Mercier’s Illuminated Tinted Moisturizer for the past three years. I wanted something with more coverage and something that would last me through my morning workout and afternoon job – and maybe even going out to dinner after work every now and then.

I also wanted something similar to LM TM – with SPF and a dewy but not oily finish. I got a sample of the Beige Rose 40 in the mail and fell in love with the texture of this foundation! It was a little too pink for me so I went to the store and accidentally picked up the Beige 60 which ended up being too dark for me so I had to exchange it again for the Beige Dore 40. I didn’t know there were different numbers for the levels of shades when I got the 60, so be aware of it when you go to the store! 🙂 Anyway, the Beige Dore 40 is close to perfect for my skin.

I have a little bit of redness near my nose and a little around my cheeks. This foundation covers it pretty well for me and makes my face a better ‘canvas’ when I apply my blush instead of already having a bit of redness showing, which makes my blush application look messy! I can workout with this foundation on, but by hour 5, my face gets a little bit oily if I forget to finish it with a powder that day – oops! So I usually put powder over it, just around my t-zone.

Regardless, it lasts me all day until 10pm when I wash my face at night. I also finish it with UD’s All-Nighter or De-Slick spray. It has a dewy and radiant finish, which I really like! I have also applied it using my fingers, Blender Beauty sponge, and a flat foundation brush. I usually use my fingers because it is quicker and doesn’t waste a lot of product, but it also doesn’t look streaky at all when I apply it with my fingers. I only use one pump of foundation, and it covers my face pretty well!
